Thank you so much for the financial support... We really appreciate YOU!

“When my blindness came on me, literally out of the dark, the Lighthouse was there to show me how to be independent in my day to day living.” ~Kayte Kowierschkel

Annually, the Lighthouse for the Blind of Fort Worth is making a difference to thousands of individuals who are significantly visually impaired and who are choosing to live a life of independence.

As one of the few socially entrepreneurial nonprofits in the area, Lighthouse for the Blind of Fort Worth is investing our dollars in programs, services, and jobs right here in Tarrant County. We are proud that we generate an operating revenue stream as we accomplish our mission of providing employment opportunities to working age blind adults. The majority of these dollars are reinvested into the organization to pay salaries and benefits for blind and sighted employees, to subsidize operational overhead, and to purchase raw materials for ongoing production. Any surplus income underwrites our Client Services and Community Outreach programs, allowing us to offer the majority of services at little or no cost to our consumers.

But we still need YOU as we strive to address the increased demand for our services.

When you make a gift to the Lighthouse for the Blind of Fort Worth, you are giving the gift of independence to someone who is blind. For some, independence means returning to the workforce in a competitive meaningful job; for someone else it means no longer being afraid to venture out and about or expanding their technology skills.

No gift is too small to make a difference in the life of someone who is visually impaired.

Feel free to contact Community Development by phone at 817-332-3341 with any questions or additional assistance needed.  Thank you for making a difference!
