Lighthouse for the Blind of Fort Worth offers volunteer opportunities for every schedule. We appreciate and honor each and every person that donates their time and efforts to support our mission.  All volunteers are required to complete a Volunteer Application, go through a background check, and attend New Volunteer Orientation.

Volunteer Opportunities

Community Support  – Accompany Lighthouse staff members to assist with client homes visits to provide support and assistance as needed.

Driver  – Provide transportation to Lighthouse staff members to support community events or presentations, client home visits, and other Lighthouse activities.

Onsite Support – Assist staff with phone calls, paperwork, organizing and completing office tasks as needed.

Translator (Spanish)  – Help translate communications materials and web content from English to Spanish.

Support Group Facilitator – Lead or assist with support groups.
